This Java-based namevoyager generates a graph of the popularity of a given name from the 1880s to the present. Note the booming popularity of Jesus and the decline of George, Richard, Minnie, and Homer. Other names were just a flash in the pan and link their bearers to specific decades (Barbie, Cindy, etc.).
